Race Routes:

Start and Finish are in the historical Hauptallee!
All race routes go through the health resort area, the lower and upper Bergkurpark as well as the delightful Bad Pyrmont Forest on asphalt roads and compacted forest tracks. Routes are mainly in the shadows of the trees and, even with Summer temperatures, it is possible to have a comfortable run.  En route there are plenty of refreshment stands.
Runners pass by many of Bad Pyrmont’s sights and excursion destinations. Splendid views of the Spa and its surroundings gladden a runner’s heart.

10 Kilometre Rural Run:

The route starts out from the Hauptallee (105 metres above sea level) through the lower and then the upper Bergkurpark. Light to medium climbs take us to the Bombergstrasse. Here we run ca. 800 m uphill and, at the 3,5 km mark, reach 230 m above sea level. With the exception the next 350 metres, which climb up, the following 3 km are a comfortable run.  At the 6,5 km mark we reach the highest point of the course at 260 m above sea level. Now the route goes downhill for 3,5 km towards the historical Hauptallee where the noisy crowd encourages runners to a last final effort.

Halfmarathon Rural Run:

The first part of the 21,1 km run is the same as for the 10 km run. After some 8 kms the course ascends from 220 m to 325 m above sea level. At 10 kms we come to the highest point and there now follows a comfortable run to the 15 km mark. The course now goes gently downhill and we arrive at the “Landhaus der Erdfälle” (a restaurant). The course then passes through the Philosophenweg with a gentle climb, followed by a short but steep descent and a 3 km run into the historical Hauptallee, where each year many spectators are gathered to welcome the runners with loud applause.

Mini - Marathon:

sponsored by the Pyrmonter Nachrichten (Pyrmont’s local newspaper)

Mini-Marathonies run a circular course of some 420 metres in the historical Hauptallee. At the Finish there is a surprise gift for each runner. The objective of this run is that “the most important thing is taking part” and for this reason, times are not measured and there is no winners’ list.

The main thing is to enjoy running, either alone, with parents, grandparents, elder brothers or sisters, etc.
